Machine summary calculation for production of spiral bevel ZAKgears.
ZAKGEAR machine roll ratio and ZAKGEAR machine root angle.

(Additional calculations and modifications such as modified roll, cutter tilt, sliding base or other may be needed for correcting problems of the traditional gears, but not needed for production of ZAKgears.)

Input:
Number of teeth. Pinion:
N1

Number of teeth. Gear:
N2
Shaft angle. [deg]:
A

Output:
Gear ratio (i):
i=N2/N1

ZAKGEAR machine root angle. Pinion. (A1)[deg]:
A1=atan(sin(Shaft_Ang)/(i+cos(Shaft_Ang)))
ZAKGEAR machine root angle. Gear. (A2)[deg]:
A2=A-A1
Number of teeth on the imaginary flat ZAKgear. (N)
N=N2/sin(A2)
ZAKGEAR machine roll ratio. Pinion. (i1)
i1=N1/N
ZAKGEAR machine roll ratio. Gear. (i2)
i2=N2/N

ZAKGEAR machine roll ratio can be defined by two ways:
1. RPM of the machine cradle / RPM of the work part (gear or pinion).
2. Number of teeth on the ZAKgear that you cut / number of teeth on the imaginary flat generating ZAKgear.
